Cage Colocation
Cage Colocation Overview
1102 GRAND’s Cage colocation is for customers with a footprint ranging from 3 racks or cabinets needing approximately 100 – 120 square feet of space to larger customers with dozens of cabinets needing several hundred to more than a thousand square feet of private cage space. Colocation cages are located in a colocation room along with other cages each housing a different company’s equipment. Rather than investing a potentially significant amount of capital to build out a data center at their corporate office, technology executives instead decide to move equipment to 1102 GRAND in order to leverage the common infrastructure shared with other cage colocation customers. Cage colocation customers also can get a cage sized to meet not only today’s need but ensure contiguous space for expansion. In addition, unlike in a cabinet colocation room, customers have the ability to not only specify their racks or cabinets (even reuse racks already owned) but also roll in non-standard cabinets such as proprietary storage area network (SAN) cabinets.
1102 GRAND offers flexible terms which allow customers to grow or ramp into a larger space over time. That ensures you only pay for what you need now but have room for the future. While there are certainly limitations on what we can do, 1102 GRAND is looking for long term relationships with our tenants and are happy to tailor solutions to meet your company’s objectives to the best of our abilities. Cage colocation is especially attractive to companies that do not wish to maintain a data center and would rather focus on their core business but also would like to provide their own cabinets or racks and want a little more physical security.
